The amount of aid given to the farmers under the Kalia scheme by the Odisha government has been reduced because the government has merged the Kalia scheme into the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme launched by the central government in February 2019. According to the notification, farmers residing in urban local bodies will not be covered under both schemes.

A war exercise called Hand-in-Hand was started between India and China. This exercise started on 7 December which will be held till 20 December. It is organized in Umroi near Shillong. 130-130 jawans of both countries will participate in this war exercise. Under this, both countries will receive t = training for special operations against terrorism in addition to various military activities.

Uttar Pradesh Law Minister Brijesh Pathak said that 144 of these courts will regularly hear cases of rape, while 74 courts will hear cases of Poxo. 60 percent of the expenditure on the formation of these courts will be borne by the Central Government and 40 percent by the State Government.

This day was celebrated for the first time on 07 December 1949. This day is celebrated in honor of Indian soldiers, water soldiers and airmen. On the occasion of Flag Day, funds are collected from the people for the welfare of armed forces personnel and this money is used for the welfare of serving military personnel and ex-servicemen.
